PRACTICAL SAFETY CONTROLS

A safe session is prepared in advance.

  • Age-appropriate equipment, inspected surfaces, safe spacing, and accessible participation.
  • Site-specific emergency actions, communication roles, first-aid resources, and AED access review.
  • Appropriate concussion and sudden-cardiac-arrest education and training under applicable requirements.
  • Parent notification, injury documentation, and return-to-activity decisions by the appropriate qualified professional.
  • Heat, hydration, weather, lightning, and fatigue planning.
  • Medical restrictions and emergency-medication needs handled through the approved secure enrollment process.

CONCUSSION & CARDIAC INFORMATION

Use official current guidance.

Suspected concussion or concerning symptoms require stopping activity and following the applicable removal, assessment, and written-return-clearance rules. Coaches do not improvise medical clearance.

OUR SPORT LIMITS

No contact where the pathway says non-contact.

The Corner is non-contact boxing: no sparring or youth-to-youth striking. The Formation is flag football: no tackling or collision drills. Track avoids body-shaming and punishment running. Basketball emphasizes controlled, age-appropriate play.

This page is general program information, not individual medical advice. The organization must verify the applicable current requirements and retain actual training, permissions, and emergency evidence.
