DEVELOPMENTAL FIT
A six-year-old and a preteen need different coaching.
| Age band | How we teach | What growth can look like |
|---|---|---|
| 5–7 · Little Builders | Short directions, visuals, play, repetition, movement, and adult co-regulation. | Safe bodies, naming a feeling, asking for help, and returning after a pause. |
| 8–10 · Bridge Builders | Team challenges, role-play, practical examples, and specific feedback. | Turn-taking, persistence, friendship skills, accepting correction, and repair. |
| 11–12 · Preteen Builders | Respectful discussion, choice, leadership, peer scenarios, and privacy. | Boundaries, coachability, digital choices, self-reflection, and middle-school readiness. |
THE BRAVE CODE
A shared language for real-life practice.

Respect bodies, space, words, equipment, and the right to ask for help.
R
Regulation
Notice body cues, pause, reset, and return safely.
A
Accountability
Own your part, tell the truth, repair harm, and try again.
V
Values
Connect everyday choices to the person you want to become.
E
Engagement
Show up, participate, ask for help, and support your team.
FOUR SPORT PATHWAYS
The activity changes. The standard does not.

BASKETBALL
Game Plan Elite
Decisions, teamwork, and next-play recovery.

NON-CONTACT
The Corner
Footwork, breath, boundaries, and stop cues.

TRACK & MOVEMENT
The Lane
Pacing, persistence, and healthy self-comparison.

FLAG FOOTBALL
The Formation
Listening, assignments, teamwork, and safe play.
WHOLE-CHILD SUPPORT
Learning happens off the court, too.

The Academy is part of the planned after-school routine—not a promise of elite team placement. Youth practice classroom habits, safe relationships, emotional vocabulary, help-seeking, leadership, and reflection alongside sport.
The proposed weekly rotation uses basketball, non-contact boxing, track, and flag football, with Friday integration and choice. Final sessions depend on facilities, instructors, developmental fit, and safety readiness.
