SKILLS TO PRACTICE

What participation could look like.

  • Stance, balance, guard, and controlled footwork.
  • Shadowboxing and age-appropriate target or bag drills when approved.
  • Coach-held mitt practice in an observable space with qualified instruction.
  • Stopping on cue, managing energy, and asking for a reset.

SAMPLE SESSION

Youth preference, developmental fit, accessibility, medical restrictions, staffing, and the actual space guide participation. No child needs to perform advanced skill to deserve respectful coaching.

SAFETY LIMITS

Protection before performance.

  • No sparring, youth-to-youth striking, head contact, or competitive bouts in this pathway.
  • No punishment rounds, forced exhaustion, or boxing used to intimidate.
  • Pause immediately when a participant cannot stop safely; return only under the approved safety procedure.

Qualified leadership, screened adults, emergency readiness, age-appropriate equipment, parent communication, and an approved site must be in place before this pathway opens.
